Bob Kravitz is an award-winning sports columnist with The Indianapolis Star. Bob grew up on the North Shore of Chicago, and played goalie for New Trier High School in Winnetka, Ill. and went on to Indiana University, where he was a a sportswriter for the campus newspaper, and also played goalie for the IU Club hockey team. He graduated in in the early 1980s, and soon found himself working for Sports Illustrated as a staff writer. After leaving SI in 1986, Bob become a sports columnist for the Cleveland (Ohio) Plain Dealer, and in the early 90s, joined Denver’s Rocky Mountain News as a sports columnist. Per his Facebook bio, Bob is a husband, a dad, a newspaper sports columnist, part-time high school hockey coach, part-time college journalism professor and bon vivant, and I’m too damned tired to have a mid-life crisis.INDYSTAR:
