Also on the Hate Line this week, people left messages for Spike Lee and we played them before the Pacers trounced the Knicks last Saturday night… and some dude called us fat.

After we tucked a buck, the ladies made room for one of our favorites, Rusty Redenbacher, formerly of the Mudkids, Birdmen of Alcatraz, and other great musical acts. We discussed the Colts song that made them popular around the country, where he finds his inspiration, what brought all of us together when we were younger and more.

Traleigh Stephens, of Fort Wayne got caught.  She sauntered on up to the soda machine at The Rock and a Hard Place convenience store in Broad Ripple late Saturday night, pulled her pants down and unloaded.

Hey Traleigh, I don’t know how they do things in Fort Wayne, but here in Indy we use bushes and back alleys when we can’t find a toilet (unless you’re in a strip club and don’t wanna lose your seat).  CLICK HERE TO READ MORE

Larra Overton is an Indianapolis-based sports journalist who currently reports for the Indiana Pacers, Fox Sports and WXIN Fox59. This is her third season as in-game emcee and host for the Pacers. She also reports for Pacers.com, contributing game recap packages and feature interviews. Larra serves as a track & field analyst and sideline reporter for Fox Sports and reports on the morning show for Fox59. She is also the Web Editor and Manager of Program Development for the National Sports Journalism Center at IUPUI.

Larra has worked for the Big Ten Network as a sideline reporter for football and track & field since 2009. Prior to moving to Indianapolis, Larra worked for the NBC affiliate, WTWO, in Terre Haute, Ind. and the Fox affiliate, WDRB Fox41 in Louisville, Ky.

A native of New Albany, Ind., Larra earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from IU, while competing in track and field and cross country for the Hoosiers. She is a four-time NCAA qualifier and two-time Academic All-American.

RACHEL McLAUGHLIN (w/BILL DOWNS)

From color commentator to purist handicapper and everything in between, Racing Rachel McLaughlin is a shining star amongst a new generation of horse racing enthusiasts. Rachel attended Ball State University where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Marketing. She loves all things sports but her two favorites are football and thoroughbred racing. The focal point of Indiana Downs racing lies with Rachel McLaughlin and her trackside reporting. Rachel is no stranger to the horseman culture. As an avid rider and horse owner herself, she has been involved with horsemanship for many years. With her love of riding and knowledge of all things equine, she soon found her way to Hoosier Park in 2010 as a racing intern.

While at Hoosier Park, McLaughlin made the annual transition from Harness to Thoroughbred without missing a beat. The acquisition of Indiana Downs by Centaur Gaming led to a one breed, one track concept and Rachel is now able to focus her efforts solely towards the 120 day Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse meet. At only twenty five years of age, Rachel is off to a notable start with features on both ESPN and HRTV.

Rachel is currently hosting her sixth meet and her experience is evident as she transitions into an even broader role as Race Commentator and Marketing Specialist for Indiana Downs in Shelbyville, IN. Racing Rachel has developed into an excellent handicapper. In her first handicapping season she made a name for herself as her picks consistently hit the board. Coming off a successful foray with Hoosier Park, she has transitioned back to her roots with Thoroughbred. Her growing knowledge of the sport has landed her multiple roles as a handicapper, analyst, and commentator. Rachel also assists with marketing efforts and when she is not in front of the camera she spends her time planning promotions and giveaways to make the racing cards more enjoyable for guests of all experience levels. If you have been to Hoosier Park, or more recently Indiana Downs, you have undoubtedly taken part in one of her many daily activities and most likely went home with something to show for it.
